Super Tuesday results are coming in

AP20064085200094
A rare sighting of Joe Biden supporters…

Results are coming in from Primary Elections all over the country and Elizabeth “Fauxcahontas” Warren and Michael “Mini Mike” Bloomberg did absolutely terrible. Warren lost badly in the state where she serves as a Senator and managed to get third place. Amazing, simply amazing…

Slow Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders are the only two Democratic candidates to receive any meaningful number of delegates but Mini Mike can always lay claim to being the victor of the American Samoa Caucus:

Isn’t also hilarious how Buttigieg, Klobuchar, Tom Cryer, and probably someone else who never had a chance all dropped out in the same 24 hour period just before Super Tuesday? Isn’t also amazing that they all endorsed Bid all of a sudden? It really makes you think, huh? I’m sure that they totally weren’t promised a bunch of stuff by the DNC to support the failing Biden campaign. It’s also hilarious that despite all of this support and attention suddenly coalescing around the former Vice President that Bernie may still end up winning the majority of the elected delegates. Just like Shillary Hillary Clinton said in her latest interview: “Let’s follow the rules, we had rules last time, we have rules this time,”. I wonder if Hillary will be saying the same thing to the fine folks at her upcoming U.S. District Court trial deposition?

Here’s a quick peek at how only Sanders and Biden are is getting a meaningful number of delegates out of California. I wonder how the DNC feels about early voting in California and all of the wasted votes on Buttigieg and Klobuchar? Sorry Democrats, but there’s no “do-over” for your thrown-away vote. Unless of course, they’re voting early and often.

Anyway, that’s enough of my opinions on the Primary Election results currently available as I’m typing this post out. For now, I’ll leave you with some memes from the fine folks at Economic Illiterates for Bernie Sanders. Enjoy!

Elizabeth Warren proves her point

Xg9zXQe

What an awesome story, it seems that Elizabeth Warren proved her point that she has some Injun blood in her. Just look at this DNA report that shows she probably had an Native American ancestor six to ten generations ago which gives her anywhere from 1/64 to 1/1024 of the ancestry that Senator Warren has laid claim to. Here are some statements from the report Senator Warren cites:

Conclusion. While the vast majority of the individual’s ancestry is European, the results strongly support the existence of an unadmixed Native American ancestor in the individual’s pedigree, likely in the range of 6-10 generations ago.

Here’s another statement from the “Background Information“:

For maximal accuracy, we use reference populations that have been fully sequenced (complete genomes) rather than references that had been genotyped at only a subset of sites. These samples come from the 1000 Genomes research project, which sequenced full genomes from individuals around the world (1000 Genomes Project Consortium, 2012). For Native American references, we used samples within the 1000 Genomes project of Native American ancestry; these samples come from Mexico, Peru, and Colombia. (It is not possible to use Native American reference sequences from inside the United States, since Native American groups within the US have not chosen to participate in recent population genetics studies.)

Perhaps I’m just too much of a plebeian but I don’t really see how this document proves that Senator Warren has some Cherokee in her. Isn’t it weird how so many people who claim to be Native American almost always say that it’s Cherokee? Another thing that I don’t understand is how Senator Warren though this would help her party out. This must be part of some big-brain strategy that I just don’t get. It must be because I’m a white, male, RethugliKKKan. The Democratic Party is arguing amongst itself as to whether Warren is wasting time or not and it’s worth taking a look at what some party figures are saying.

The Cherokee Nation doesn’t seem to appreciate Warren’s claims and the Cherokee Nation Secretary of State Chuck Hoskin Jr. had the following to say:

A DNA test is useless to determine tribal citizenship. Current DNA tests do not even distinguish whether a person’s ancestors were indigenous to North or South America. Sovereign tribal nations set their own legal requirements for citizenship, and while DNA tests can be used to determine lineage, such as paternity to an individual, it is not evidence for tribal affiliation,

The Boston Globe story that Warren loves so much has also been corrected twice already. Who needs editors when you have to get the desired headline out?

If you want you can even join the Fact Squad and spread approved party propaganda pointless narrative the facts concerning Warren’s heritage, donate your capitalist exploitation units, and even join the Fact Squad! Isn’t that just wonderful?!

Bonus Round: I wonder if Pocahontas really thinks that this video makes her look any better? Is this reality? Is this satire? You decide!

Look, free community college! That’ll be $60 billion (and then some)

debt1 Activist+Demonstrate+Against+High+Cost+College+o8L3fYepH6Xlcollege-debt03

The President recently announced his intentions to make community colleges free for at least the first two years of attendance. When he says free, he means sixty billion (or more) with some unspecified amount of money to be paid by the states. There’s you’re government at work, taking your money and giving it back. If you thought the the current Federal college student debt of over one trillion wasn’t enough, you’re obviously wrong, very wrong. For those of you who who thought that government policies such as the ACA would make healthcare cheaper and with lower deductibles, this is obviously the right path and a godsend. As we all know, when the government says something is will be free or cheaper than before that is must be completely true.

I guess that all of the student die-ins, protests, screaming, and complaining about debt have finally made people pay attention to them. It’s not like they were studying or working anyway. Obviously, all of the protesting students are enlsaved. It turns out a large portion of college students don’t even realize that they’re in debt according to an article from The Guardian. Just think, these “adults” are smart enough to go to college yet: can’t read a contract, have no idea what they signed, don’t bother to look for cheaper colleges, don’t understand the concept of credit, don’t have self-control over spending, or seem to understand that they’re responsible for the debt that they get themselves into. Perhaps dumping one-hundred thousand dollars you don’t have into a humanities degree isn’t a great idea? Clearly, their debt needs to be forgiven, subsidized, and the college debt bubble needs to grow even bigger. What’s a little more debt in the grand scheme of things? Perhaps the “populist” Elizabeth Warren could give back some of her exorbitant salary she earned while teaching at Harvard and decrying the expense of higher education? Do leftists not see the irony in supporting the rich while railing against them? It’s OK to be rich when you vote left I guess. When Elizabeth Warren says that she’s not wealthy, she really means it! Just don’t ask her how much money she has, got it? (EDIT: Read an interesting perspective from Powerline on how the free college proposal may put a cap on prices and send some of the President’s core constituency screaming.)
